ION GNSS+ 2016 - Track Constrained RTK for Railway Applications

This contribution deals with the integration of the GNSS technology into the ERTMS framework. Particularly, the hint of this work is the design of an algorithm that exploits carrier phase raw observation to determine, among a set of parallel tracks, which is the one the train is lying on. Making this functionality be compliant to SIL4 requirements is more challenging than the positioning long the line due to the reduced inter distance between the tracks. The track discrimination issue is then solved by explicitly taking into account that the train is constrained to lie on a track.
